The vineyards of the Blaye – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation are located in the south-west of France, in this world wine region renowned for its know-how and its best wines.
It is surrounded by the biggest French white wines region where is produce COGNAC and PINEAU DES CHARENTES.

The PDO Côtes-de-Blaye is part of the blayais and the bourgeais. It is located on the right bank of the Gironde, 45 km north of Bordeaux, opposite the Médoc.
This appellation covers 6 000 ha and produces 280,000 hl / year of wine or more than 35 Millions of bottles.
90% are red wines made from merlot, cabernet-sauvignon and cabernet franc as well as colombard.
The production of white wines amounts to 15,000 hl / year and comes from the Semillon, Sauvignon, Muscadelle and Ugni Blanc grape varieties.
The soils are clay-limestone and composed of gravels.
Soft, round and well balanced, the red wines have beautiful fine and silky tannins and a solid structure while the white wines are oily, elegant, lively and fruity and exude a lot of finesse.
